A storm passing by in lenk, simmental, switzerland. Some rain and loud thunder at the beginning, then slowly fading out.

It was a very cold and windy day when i visited the mile high swinging bridge at the top of grandfather mountain. Unfortunately, i did not have a windscreen, so there is a bit of noise in the recording of the "singing" bridge. The reason i say "singing" is that the high winds were blowing through the 228-foot long suspension bridge bars making a haunting sort of song. It is considered the highest suspension footbridge in north america at just over a mile high.

This sound is of a commercial airliner passing overhead. It was recorded using my zoom h4n stereo field recorder, as i faced east, looking over sun devil stadium in tempe, arizona on top of what they call "a mountain". It was captured around 3:30 in the afternoon, in the spring of 2014, with the airplane due east towards phoenix sky harbor airport, descending on approach.

The hydrothermal system in the salton trough occurs in a pull-apart setting where rifting and associated magmatic intrusions are responsible for the strong heat flow. One of the most concentrated and well-expressed onshore seep fields is the davis-schrimpf field, where more than 50 individual seeps are located in this area. Gas venting from gryphons and pools is vigorous with a continuous bubbling activity. Water and mud mixtures are continuously expelled down the flanks of the gryphons. Swiss forest, sunny winter morning, on a small mountain. The cracks and other falls are due to the snow that melt in the sun and fell from the top of the trees. It was beautiful. Recorded in stereo with h5n, and processed a little bit to reduce the wind.

This is a recording of my friend who can make an incredible llama/sheep/goat sound.

I tried to get a surround recording using mics, but there was a horrible street musician playing off in the distance. I thought it wouldn't be clear in the recording, but one of the mics picked him up quite well. The recording was ruined, so i did a little processing at home and came up with this freaky bit for your listening pleasure. Not sure if it's usable beyond listening, tho. . .
