This is a sound effect of a plant being grabbed and pulled up out of the ground. It's really quiet (and you may need to be amplified, depending on what you're using it for). One of a series of foley recordings i made by sticking a piece of contact (sticky plastic of the kind you use to cover books) to a wall and tearing various household objects off it. The idea was to make a fairly comprehensive collection of rips and tears with varying timbral qualities that i could use to design ui sounds effects. Recorded with a rode nt1 into a universal audio arrow. This sound comes from a plastic candy wrapper.

04-21-2013 - chainsaw cutting:sunday, april 21, 2013: had to take care of some fallen trees; seemed wise to record it. This chainsaw is brand new. 45cc recording taken at a distance of 30 feet and is unfortunately tarnished at the front with an ambulance siren. Recording gear: zoom h2/n @ 44. 1k/16bit using built-in xy microphones.

Just me stretching, rubbing and 'twanging' a rubber exercise band. Apologies for the knocking in the first 20 seconds, my upstairs neighbour started moving some furniture. I made this recording for a very specific purpose but i suppose it could be used in an animation or computer game but also for something bondage or kink related?. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. Nyc subway train arrives, doors open, announcement of direction, doors close, train departs. I stood on the platform at the montrose l station with a sony minidisc and recorded the entire process of a nyc subway train coming and going. Low noise, though you may wish to use a high-pass filter as there is so much bass in the material.
