A sound effect to increase suspens in a horror game for example, can be used in a music aswell(it makes me somewhat think of a ping pong ball)created using audacity.

Dark, cold, frightening ambience. I really created it out of nothing! no synthesizers/extra programs were used! only "audacity" to generate sounds and effects over it. Update (12th of december, 2020): it may be sounds like a subway too.

I drove my car into a wall; and recorded the proximity alert from it. I then washed it through audacity; slowed it 23%; and trimmed the edges. The result? -chilling. A few indistinct gulps cool the atmosphere a little more. It's not the making of a corpse - but it sounds a bit like it?. Recorded late at night in my car by my home with the engine off in fog - so the sound is 'hollowed' by the atmosphere. Recorded using a sennheiser mke300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. What a chilling way to go. . . ?.

Recorded under a long, dark, low bridge on my local canal. Me laughing. Slowed by 5% in audacity. The result? -a chilling, maniacal, evil laugh. Three high quality foley sounds of a low pitched echoing drum for suspense. For those who have played the game slender man, they just might ring a bell. These were made by using a sample of a drum and adding heavy low pass and adobe soundbooth's echo and dream sequence effect.

A very low-pitch xylophone from the lmms daw, with reverb, initially i was attempting to emulate footsteps, but it turned out to be somewhat sinister and eerie instead.

This sound is a simple recording of my self roaring and manipulated with cs6 audition. I used this with some feedback based delay and some reverberation to simulate the sound of a dinosaur dying in a game.
