I recorded myself yelling "no" and i used audacity to lower the pitch and i made it louder and added an echo then i recorded myself making a weird sound and lowered the pitch and echoed and made it louder and put then together why was this so hard to freaking type.

First attempt at recording with audacity and my new keyboard. All sounds are bone-stock from the mx49. I've only added a little reverb in one 15-second section of the piece. This sound would be suited for background atmosphere in a nightmare movie sequence, or to blast out of your windows to the neighborhood on halloween. It was created in audacity by using a piece the audio track from the end of the movie "my cousin vinny". It is the line marisa tomei says as she and vinny are driving back to n. Y. (oh my god, what a f'ing nightmare). It was then noise-reduced, pitch and tempo adjusted, reversed, and paulstretched.

A creepy clown laugh inspired from sweet tooth from twisted metal. Source is my own voice. I tried to match this to the original inspiration with the cackle-like formants that sweet tooth's laugh has, which has been said to been from a sound library by a female sound designer working for singletrac.

I really made this.

A request for freesounder neilreynolds1980, intended as a soundtrack for the play dr faustus at the point the eponymous character is sucked into hell. A bit of technical information: the basic sound is a stacked set of ‘devil’s intervals’ (augmented fourths) with doubling at the octave, playing an instance of calf organ set to a truly horrifying demonic choir patch i created. The rest of the effects are accomplished using automation of this instrument as well as calf pulsator and calf filter in ardour. This sounds much better when downloaded than it does in the freesound player. The stereo image and sample rate are much reduced in the version you hear in the player.

I recorded myself doing scary laughing using pitch bend, delay for echo effect and noise reduction. Recorded on conexant smart audio and at2020 usb mic, processed thru audacity.
