Another of the recordings i did on my phone at work of a steel cable at tension between phone poles. Hitting it with a wrench and making laser sounds. Cleaned up in audacity as the other one was. One is better than the other but can't remember which one i liked the best. Use as you please. If you use it for something and have the time to tell me where it ended up, that's cool. Either way, enjoy.

File i recorded while at work on a telephone pole. I found a span of the steel cable they string between the poles that hold phone lines or cable lines. But this was just the bare span and nothing touching it. If you hit them with a wrench they make weird laser gun sounds. Recorded with my phone and cleaned up a bit in audacity. Use as you please. A pick-up for a weapon of some sort.

This is from a recording session trying to create laser weapon sounds. I just used the same technique as ben burtt used in wall-e (with the slinky and the contact mic). This is unprocessed, no eqs, compression, reverb or anything was added. I used a long piece of curled up aluminum wire which i hung from a tall structure at my house and the main object i used to oscillate the wire was a drum stick. For the recording i used the blue icicle and recorded into reaper. The contact mic is my own creation from a diy i found online (roughly €5 to make). I hope you find this useful! please feel free to use it, whenever and however you want to. If you create something awesome and you're proud of it i'd love to see it!.

Fourth sound is taking the magazine out again. Fifth sound is putting it in again, all the way this time. Sixth sound is cycling the charging handle. Sixth sound is engaging the bolt catch with an open bolt. Recorded with a blue snowball through audacity.

This is an attempt to recreate the sound of a gunshot. At a distant and medium distance. The sound consists of two layers. In the synthesis, white noise with different filtering by layers was used. Reverb was not used. The final processing is equalization and a bit of overdrive.
