This audio was taken on the subway train. I wanted the audience to picture a scene in which someone is sending a text message in order to meet up with a friend.

Two trains in polish contryside at springbirds, road rumor, a train horn and a pheasant. The train arrives slowly in this athmosphere and then vanish. Another one can be heard around 5'30. A freight train recording from western new york, usa. Recorded with a zoom h1n at 24-bit, 48khz, stereo but reduced to flac 16-bit for file size. Microphone was roughly 500 meters away with houses in-between.

What seems to be a malfunctioning alarm at a rail crossing. The clanging of the electronic bell has an irregular pattern and seems muted. Perhaps even more annoying to some than the typical crossing gate alarm.

Sounds of a metro leaving its station.

Recorded on a ipad, which seems to pick up background noise from the subway system. Sorry about that. I am on the train, it stops, i get out and hear an announcement on the other side. This station has two tracks, one running in either direction. Generally, when you hear an announcement, you hear mandarin first (woman's voice), cantonese next (slightly different woman's voice), then english in a man's voice. This is line 1 in downtown shenzhen. Interestingly, the next train going in the same direction of the one i got off, arrives within the time of this recording, about 1. 5 minutes later.

Recorded on an ipad. Seems to be some background noise being picked up. Not many people on this train so i took a recording of arrival into oct station.

Just a quick recording on the n train as it travels from 57th street to 42nd street. Can't remember what i recorded it on. Possibly the mtrack. I have tons of subway stuff. Shout out if you need help with some.

Recorded on 21/02/2010 at approx. 4pm at zürich hauptbahnhof (main train station), switzerland. Can't remember which platform (possibly 12?). Recorded with a zoom h2 in 2-channel surround mode, no windshield. File has not been modified, only cut short from a longer recording.
