The whole area takes on a constant booming quality along with the more identifiable explosions. Recorded with a twirling 720, converted with fb360 spatial audio software.

This is an extract of the montreal fireworks festival (usa). Recorded from a window giving to the jaques-cartier bridge with an ortf done with a pair of rhode m5 preamp in a rme ufx.

Recorded from a balcony with 3dio professional binaural microphone in to an olympus ls-14 recorder. The microphone picked up a small cessna airplane that you can hear in the middle of the recording. The microphone did also pick up the whistle of a person. Both at the start (aprox 20 min in) and at the finish of the recording. I´m am very pleased with this recording.

Fireworks- recording fireworks is really strange. There are two distinct things going on with fireworks- the sound of the explosion, and the powerful physical impact our bodies feel when all that sound energy reaches us. Thing is, the mics don’t have any way of capturing that physical impact; they can only record the pop sound of the initial explosion. So what ends up on tape? honestly, it doesn’t sound much different than popping popcorn in your kitchen. Even with my good mics, i think i had to boost the low end a little bit in this recording to make it actually sound more like fireworks than popcorn. But judge for yourself. Recorded from my balcony at about 23 hundred hours on new year's eve in 2012. Mostly sounds of fireworks which echo from neighbouring buildings and water dripping in nearby gutter. Some distant human voices and traffic noise. Recorded with a zoom h1 portable stereo recorder.

Saint john's night (23rd june) at caldes de montbui, barcelona. Several fireworks explosions recorded with a zoom h6 with the stereo shotgun ms capsule. Some of the explosions are clipped, but the average quality of the recording is good.
