A walk through ridley road market in dalston, east london. Lots of people chatting and music playing. As with many markets in london there are lots of languages being spoken. You can hear traders calling out what they're selling. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. Well, i wanted to do add a sound to my recording of a chicken in a barn. I put the mic (zoom h2 - 4ch-around) outside on the ground and threw some corn around it, so that the chickens will walk around it and hopefully make some noise. The chickens are very chilled, so there are just clucking smoothly and you can hear them walking around. Further there some flies flying close to the mic, some birds and stuff. . . :-).

A very short walk along a river passing through the city of drammen in norway. Ducks, pigeons, seagulls and crows made various sounds and cars passing on a highway bridge could be heard clearly when they passed a joint on the bridge.

Sitting in a grassy lunch area outside a business's parking lot. Birds are chirping in the trees and ambient outdoor noise (air, breeze, distant geese, far off freeway traffic) sounds throughout. A red-winged blackbird calls around 36 seconds in.

I moved the zoom h1 n onto the window sill in the veranda. It picks up the rain beating on the thin plastic roof sheathing above, and on the glass windows next to the window sill. It is rainy weather - january winter rains on vancouver island. It is a hard driving rain. My recollection is that it was about twelve millimeters in one hour. It was wet, the trees grow fast & tall.

A broken space heater that clicks. Recorded with a zoom h5 using the onboard xyh-5 capsule to capture a stereo signal and a sennheiser k6/me66 for a mono track. Very minor post processing to balance the stereo/mono and pull the subs out of the side channels.

An endless loop of athmosphere, room or whatever you want to use it to have no absolute silence.
