Racking the slide on a. 45 automatic. It may have been a colt. May require some trimming and buffing. I think i recorded this with an akg perception 200 using cool edit -- and i did it to get my room-mate to leave (after we recorded the sounds of several of his guns and a sword. . . ).

An extactor hood starting to work, running for a couple of seconds and stops. I decided to not record the switch on, switch off because it didn't "sound right" to me. You will find a better, more distinctive switch sound in here. Recorded with a tascam dr-40. Note: feel free to use this sound in one of your own projects. The delicious-sounding start to the morning is a coffee pot gurgling as it makes fresh coffee to start the day. Recorded on a cold day in early january 2018. . . One of my first recordings using the great sony pcm d-100 recorder. Enjoy, especially you fellow coffee-drinkers.
