This sound was made by popping a cellophane bag and recorded using an m-audio microtrack ii. This sounds really good as a firework or an explosion sound, especially with reverb.

Rec by eric strausser_fireworks near launchpad_tascam da-p1_neumann rsm 191. This recording was made in the parking lot of a church. On the other side of a line of trees was the launch pad for the towns fire work show. The mic is angled at the sky. Along with the big round booms and flat smacky booms you can also make out the swish as rockets swirl through the air. In between booms, whistles and fizzles you you can also hear the sound of the debris from the cardboard shells falling around me. Sometimes they were on fire, though you can't hear that quality in the audio. It's good for fireworks and is pretty easy to eq for more of a distant quality. I find it's more fun using it to sweeten weapons. The full recording is 29 minutes.

Small fireworks. Happy new year 2018!. Small fireworks echoing in the neighborhood. Firework recordings are a tradition on freesound. This is my take. First recording with this device. Will lower recording level to next year. . . I wonder how "auto" works on fireworks?extreme transients. . .
A first contribution to the community,recorded on a hand held olympus vn810and edited in sound forge. Almost five minutes of a gentle rain as it sounded out my back door at midnight this new memorial day. I faded in and out, with the out being a bit longer. Enjoy!.

Recording of some new year's celebrations in vienna. Captured using a clippy stereo em172 microphone and a zoom h5 handheld recorder. I positioned the microphone capsules outside the window on the left and right and then gently (almost) closed it. I setup the recorder and rolled the whole evening. This bit was around the apex of the celebrations in that part of town. Sadly some clipping occured, but i chose to upload the unaltered file. So no post-processing has been applied. Cut in ocenaudio. This is a long recording taken in the backyard of my neighborhood on july 4, 2021. There are lots of distant (and a few closer) booms and explosion sounds. Kind of sounds like a war going on! in this longer recording a plane also flies overhead, and someone drives down the street.
