Recorded in 2005 on an unusually chilly september day, while walking in downtown ottawa, friends and i came across a ceremonial event at the war cenotaph. I thought i'd record the sounds of traffic, people and background music and my timing was good as the choir launched into a sombre and touching rendition of danny boy to remember fallen soldiers of war.

This is the interval crowd from the play blithe spirit that ran at the basin theatre in 2019. They've all had a good laugh and their about to go back into the theatre and have some more. Although this is an australian crowd i don't think you can hear any distinct voices or words. It's a happy murmuring.

A walk from my studio on surrey canal road to surrey canal station passing a match at the millwall stadium, a group of ticketless millwall fans watching from a vantage point on the path and commenting on the upcoming general election, the roar of the crowd segueing into the ominous rumbling/squealing of the south east london combined heat and power waste incineration plant and the sound of trains passing on the rails overhead and adjacent to the path. This was recorded at loyola high school, near the the basketball court by the field and zee's (the cafeteria). It includes sounds from people playing basketball, dribbling, shooting, conversations with friends after school, and someone calling a student for his food.
