4ch field recording of an underpass below a german motorway, the a38 by leipzig. The recorder is located directly beneath an expansion joint on the edge of the underpass, the clonks and clanks of cars and trucks driving over the joint can clearly be heard, with the motorway noise reverberating in the underpass in the background. Recorded with a zoom h2 with a rycote windscreen, mounted on a boom pole. These are the rear channels, mics set to 120° dispersion.

This one is overdone by experimenting with too many vst filters. . . ^-(. . . Urban ambience with local residents talking, some moderate, yet constant traffic, a plane at the end and featuring the sound of love. Includes people talking in the background, some distant cars, a church bell, one or two planes about to land, people opening and closing the back door. As special appearance, there is someone having a joyful time (or -less probable- screaming of pain repeatedly) throughout the whole lenght of the recording. Night-time wide angle stereo recording of manhattan, as heard from across the east river, the recorder was kindly allowed access to the veranda of the riverview restaurant & lounge in long island city and is facing the manhattan skyline. Some noises of the restaurant can be heard in the background, very subdued, the quiet lapping of the east river can be heard in the foreground, and manhattan bustle and traffic on the fdr drive is in the wide range. Location: tijuana, mexicotime: december, 2016. Riding a route taxi through the streets of tijuana. It's the evening on a weekday and people are coming off work. An ambulance cruises by. Passengers are silent most of the ride until minute 4:40 when the driver stops on a busy boarding zone. Coins jingle when people pay the driver. The door slides open and you can hear people on the street chatting, while passengers get off and new ones come in.

A recording of the upper pond in jones park, brunswick east made in january of 2023 on a pleasant summer's night around 10pm. I came for the wildlife, but also captured the sounds of city. Along with frogs, bats and insects you can hear music, a dog, a bicycle, traffic, and people. The conversation might not be suitable for children. The recording was made with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a zoom h5.

I was standing in the middle of the newport southbank bridge facing the daniel carter beard bridge. You can hear cincinnati on the left and newport on the right while traffic pans from left and right in the stereo image. A walk through ridley road market in dalston, east london. Lots of people chatting and music playing. As with many markets in london there are lots of languages being spoken. You can hear traders calling out what they're selling. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. It is a rainy afternoon and there is a fair amount of pedestrian and automobile traffic underway. The recorder is on street level, pedestrians can be heard speaking swedish, german, russian and a variety of other languages.
