The end of a jazz song played by the buskers on charles bridge, prague with general street ambience. Minidisc recording june 2007. Part of my prague field recordings sample pack.

I really didn't know what to do with this melody. . . It sounds nice, i think, but i can't really think of any drum pattern that fits it. So i'll give you guys a chance to handle that, please let me hear the result then :).

It´s raining.

The usual vs-1 fiddle, reminds me of midnight lucid dreams, being a flying ghost in a completely empty city during full moon, for some reason.

This recording is inspired by alienxxx http://freesound. Org/people/alienxxx/sounds/345510/made a little patch on my modular, still missing its (main) oscillators. I let the patch sound thru a pair of cheap computer speakers that i use as monitors. In an adjacent room, close to an open window, i put my phone and record. This is the unedited outcome. The recording was made 09:00 (16-05-11). Unfortunately nothing happened outside the window. Even the birds was quiet. I think there is a hint of feedback in the sound? first i planned to record with an old tape recorder, but i couldn’t find it. . . I think this recording should be listened to with low volume. May by it was a mistake to amplify the sound in audacity? but i think there is a nice room ambiance to the recording. Ideas for next time. Use guitar amp. Find old tape recorder. Don’t put recording device to close to window.

The pitter-patter of rain on a skylight.

20 minutes of rain pattering on a skylight.

A soft texture for synth pads in a3. Built by layering several sine-wave generators to create the note a and some of its overtones. It was then drowned in reverb. The sine-generators played just a short impulse, what you hear is the tail of the reverb, to give it more richness. Post-production: reverb.

Sounds from bray air display 2019 recorded july 28th 2019. Includes aircraft flybys. Commentator barely audible in background. Footsteps on beach pebbles. Recorded with tascam dr-40 using internal mics with bass rolloff cuttoff at 120hz and tascam ws 11 dead-cat wind shield (it was quite a windy day).

Chinese restaurant (portugal) about 10 x 10 mts large with 20 people inside. Sunday 9pm. Chatter (portuguese + other), chairs dragging, some noise from the street behind the big glass window in front; noise from the kitchen (cutting vegetables on wood, frying on wok, chatter in chinese). Mic pointing at the center of the room. In front a big avenue (door closed). On my right/behind is the kitchen on an open space. Recorded with zoom h4n-pro 48 khz / 24 bit. I forgot i was recording! in one and a half hour. . . This is from that recording. It's an vcv-rack patch generating suspense music or call it anticipation music. Is there a good word for it. Maybe you interpret the sound in a different way? some sort of back ground noise anyway. . . ?the sound is time stretched, eqed, compressed and i added a little reverb.
