A very long stereo ortf recording of the main square (place de la réunion) of mulhouse (france) made with a pair of akg c451 and an edirol ua-101 sound-card. German children crying most of the time, men speaking, cars passing slowly, soft rain about the middle of the recording, siren and church bell at the end. During quarentine (march 2020), the night birds are more audible (active), because of the lack of human produced sound. Recorded from my window with a sd mixpre6 and a pair of primo 172 clippy's in ab stereo configuration (3 meters apart).

Monastiraki square, athens, greece. A group of 6 young guys from africa start a street drumming-and-dancing show, when they are approached by a group of romani girls (in a flirting mood, in my view). Their meeting evolves in a multi-cultural rhythm/vocal/dancing jam session. Sound recorded by giorgos samantas with a a pair of handmade binaural microphones mounted on an edirol r-09rh.

A foggy july morning. The recorder was placed on a rock about 30cm from the edge of the water which was moving very slowly. The waves were really shallow and soft. You can hear uk songbirds in the wooded area behind the recorder and seabirds in front of it. Occasionally you can hear a foghorn in the distance. This is a recording of a church bell ringing before the evening service. Bell is playing a slightly flat b3 (around 240hz) with nice harmonics (very loud at d4). I was recording it on my laptop from the yard behind the church using two shure ksm32 large condenser mics and a rme fireface uc. Hpf at 60hz, no postprocessing.
