Creole music is the music of the coast of peru, it is influenced by spanish music. The guitar and the cajon peruano are the pillars of this musical genre. The style is unique and rich in lyrics, rhythms and musical skill.

A berimbau is a one stringed instrument with the string made from the inside liner of a truck tire, it has a claxia(sp?) a shaker with it and is modulated by placing the gourd against the stomach and removing it.
