This is a recording of my cat monique purring. She yawns a few times, and inspects the microphone in the middle of the recording. Recorded with an f1sp field recorder & shotgun mic.
Cat purring recorded with at2020 + focusrite scarlett 8i6. Processing included normalization and fades in and out with audacity. Cat's name is pan. Feel free to use it for whatever purpose.
A recording of cameron, my cat, in the upstairs hallway letting us know she caught one of her toys. She howls like this most every night usually when we're downstairs watching tv. I'm guessing she feels we're not paying enough attention. Cut out all the silence between the yowls and added splice markers for use in a make noise morphagene.
Me hissing into my mic (blue yeti). Can be used as a monster sound or for a creature of some sort. A sound of displeasure. Recorded indoors on the 05. 04. 2015 using a blue yeti microphone and audacity recording software.
A meow performed by my male, 1 year old cat, renly. Recorded in 2011, indoors, using cubase 5(pc), an audiophile 2496 pci soundcard, and an mxl 990 microphone.
The sound my normally quiet kitten made when he encountered another more agressive cat i was fostering at home. This is recorded using a samsung s3. I have cut out some bit of (human) conversation inbetween the first and second sequence of meows.
The sound of a very content cat purring while occasionally being scratched. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder. I had a little job which involved a cat drinking. . But first i had to record the bowl being put down. . . I placed the bowl down a few times - captured with correct room sound required. . To my amazement my cat decided to do somethign useful and actually came up to the bowl and started drinking the water. . . . . . Unfortunately i wasnt close mic'd - but my little booth is pretty quiet. . . . So thankyou oscar! you finally got a job to help pay for all those biscuits! technically he was no where near the large diaphragm cap mic , focusrite pre or motu 2408 :p.
The original source for stretchdrone01. Aiff. Made back in 1980 on an octave/cat synthesizer and recorded to cassette. It's from a series of work tapes that i and my friend stephen mackay made under the "band" name late capitalism. The title for this one was "a five year contract with disney". We never did much with this material so feel free to use it as you see fit. Enjoy.
