On many days i take a two mile walk from my house to my job. One gorgeous day i took my zoom h1 and sampled audio at various points during this walk. To avoid footsteps, i recorded each location standing still. In this file i gradually crossfade between the different locations. The walk begins on a suburban street, goes past a park where children are playing baseball, then a busy intersection, then a factory with open windows. A couple planes can be heard overhead. The last thing in the recording is the door of my job opening. ----recorded with internal microphones of a zoom h1.

Walking on a nature trail on a late summer evening. Walking on concrete at the beginning of the clip and on grass midways and on. A bird can be heard calling distantly in the background. Crickets chirp loudly throughout the clip. The sound of leaves and sticks being crunched and knocked about can be heard moreso during the second half of the clip. A 7 minute continuous clip of birds in my backyard. 24 bit 48khz recorded with a sound devices 552 and a matched stereo pair of akg c451b's. My mother in the kitchen just around the corner from my closed bedroom door getting some ice from a square ice bucket in the freezer which is right at the entrance to the kitchen. You can hear them drop into her big glass and pop when they hit the water. I was recording out the window at the time. You can hear an american robin, red cardenal and mourning dove as well.

This is my first noise i've ever uploaded, so any tips to improve this or any future sounds are welcome. The original sound came from a subway car screeching to a halt and it was edited with audacity and adobe premiere. Enjoy!.

During a recent wandering in one of the many woods around me i found this wonderful small creek which, even though small, had a nice flow to it thanks to some recent rain. As i sat down to record the soothing sound of the riffles, a group of chickadees decided to come check me out. Enjoy.

I revisited my los angeles neighborhood with a brand new stereo microphone. I've now recorded the morning birds and traffic from several perspectives. Towards the end there's a nice car driving by. Recorded with: audio technica bp4025, fostex fr2le.
