This is a short recording of a busy signal i made after attempting to call someone. Naturally, there was someone already on the line. Recorded with blue yeti microphone and audacity.

While attempting to create a sick ass dubstep wob noise in rob papen's albino synth plugin, i managed to stumble across a telephone-like sound while pitching the filter cutoff on a weird shaped wave oscillator. I then put down the dubstep tune, and exported the noise with a gradual huge reverb at the end just for fun. I hope you enjoy it and i'd love to hear if someone uses it and in what context!. This is a kind of dull, soft laser bolt or gun blast. Or perhaps just some sort of impact sound. I thought it was interesting, because what it really is made up of is the sound of me shuffling my cell phone around for a second. How it ended up sounding like this i don't know. But perhaps someone has an application for the use of this sound. Enjoy.

Clean, dry recording of a smartphone touchscreen being rapidly tapped as if a message was being written on it. Could just as easily be used as sounds from using (writing, playing mobile games, browsing, etc) a tablet or really any relatively small touchscreen device. Tapping speed and length between taps varies throughout the recording, but overall i tried to make it sound as natural as possible while still offering options for more granular placement. Recorded with an akg p170 into a tascam 208i audio interface at 48khz/24-bit. Microphone was positioned 5-6 inches away from source. A 120hz high-pass filter was applied to remove unnecessarily pronounced bass frequencies.
