I threw a biscuit to a nearby seagull and recorded the sound that then followed. Here is a sound bite.

The white-eyed vireo (vireo griseus) is a small songbird. It breeds in the southeastern united states from new jersey west to northern missouri and south to texas and florida, and also in eastern mexico, northern central america, cuba and the bahamas.

This is the sound of seagulls, ducks and other water birds competing with gigantic carp fish, and each other, for food on lake mead. It starts mellow and and grows into a full-blown frenzy with lots of calling, quacking, chirping, splashing, thrashing and slurping (from the fish). The hoover dam isn't far from this lake, so tourist helicopters occasionally pass by. I hope you all like it. :).

Two mourning doves: one close, one far distant, in a mating call and response. Pretty clean, spring pre-air conditioner pollution season background with light birdsong way back. Recorded @ 8khz with a griffin italk mic to a recently refurbished 20gb 3rd generation ipod - my favorite lo-fi field recording / interview rig. If you have a recording device on your person, you get a lot of stuff you'd otherwise miss altogether. This rig helps me get those things too ephemeral to capture with a stereo pair; sounds i would regret not having at all. I keep it on my belt 90% of the time. Just in case.

This is my first noise i've ever uploaded, so any tips to improve this or any future sounds are welcome. The original sound came from a subway car screeching to a halt and it was edited with audacity and adobe premiere. Enjoy!.

A swamp in holland 4 pm in winter. Not many birds there cause of the calm winter. Just geese, coots, tits and at the end the call of a common buzzard. Creepy zombie bird sound from the bush.

A walk through ridley road market in dalston, east london. Lots of people chatting and music playing. As with many markets in london there are lots of languages being spoken. You can hear traders calling out what they're selling. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. A short recording of a mockingbird using my camera. The mocking bird was singing on some electric poles next to my house. There is a lot of background noise from other birds and random ambience. I hope this is of use to someone.
