Flac: encoded. The rock formations here play appealing tricks with the sound of the running and falling stream. Facing out over falls dropoff, vaguely. A lot of digital gain (+30db?) was applied in postprocessing. The analog preamp was originally set to +21db on the aux-in (ch5/6) input, but this may not have been the optimal gain staging. This is a recording of buttsbury wash, which goes across a small road in essex, uk. At about 1:15 a car can be heard going through the water. The water is quite deep and the car stalled after it got to the other side, though managed to restart. The recording was made with a sennheiser m6/k6 attached to a zoom h5. Minimal editing with audacity.

This clip is a short walk from a walking path heading out to shollenberger wetlands in petaluma, ca. The path is a short diversion into a small wooded area leading to a creek that was rushing pretty heavily due to a recent rainfall. There is a small waterfall making rushing sounds in the creek where the recording ends. The person steps on a log, and breaks a twig on the way to the water's edge.

Recording of a fairly boisterous stream near my house. It has a lot of motion due to the fact that a branch was caught on the bank of the stream which was being pulled about in different directions resulting in different rates of flow and a varying sound. Some light wind at a couple of points, should be fairly easily edited/eq'd out. Recorded with a rode ntg-2 and zoom h2. Please let me know what you use it for!.
