I have generated a sound ( sinusoidal, 300hz) and i have altered it with the level tool. Then, i have added a pluck ( pitch 114) and reversed it. I have created a “white noise” which i have stuck after the pluck. Finally, i have generated a sound ( sinusoidal, 1000hz). I have put it at the end and altered it with the level tool. I used audacity.

This is a sample of motor noise sampled at 48khz.

Alienxxx and i had a little private dare. This is how it sounds when i have mixed the two resulting files. I made a schematic sketch on a simple modular patch. All info was this sketch. Sometimes when you play audio from vinyl, you hear some distorion when voice rising up in the track and dissapearing distortion when voise rising down. This sample eliminates this distorion. Tested on several music track and it works excelent for me.

I recorded this for a project i was doing, and because i used so many samples from this site on the project, i figured i'd give some back too. This is the sound of my dorm room at nyu, recorded in an xy configuration with two condenser microphones.

Each accidental pattern was mined out of a much longer recording. I noticed these interesting sequences of noises while editing other samples over the years and threw them into a catch-all folder. All of these were recorded with a usb-stick mic so they have a nice lo-fi distorted quality. Try looping any of these patterns and you'll hopefully understand why i selected them.

I don't know i am doing. The sound is from a old turkish movie and it says "dear, god! what happend?".

Made with synthesizer, distortion, doubler, delay and stereo imager. But i think i need more heavy distortion!.

Some cafe ambience severely altered with blok modular fx. Was originally a long jam cut up into a bunch of individual files but i figured searching through them would be a pain so i merged them back into one file. So listen through and pick the sounds you like with a wav editor, or enjoy it in its own regard as abstract sound sculpture or something. I don't want to divulge too much of what the patch looked like but it random note values with each keyboard press which were then ran through a waveshaper. Later on i add some reverb and use various things to alter the panning for some strange stereo effects. Edit: you might want to use a dc eliminator on the samples because the waveshaper creates some dc offset (basically useless low/zero frequency noise for those not in the know). This is a sound made to represent an abstract mass of people. It is mostly made with 100 blips made from using a phasor as an oscilator, so basically a saw tooth. There is some snippets of voice thrown in too. This sample is public domain, ignore the cc license.

Digital noise made from raw binary files extracted from hdd with hexplorer using raw import function in audacity. Files were 4, each made from 200 sectors. I modified each sound using filters and joined them together to make longer looping example. Good to use in a game or 3d video animation as background ambient noise. Audacity and hexplorer are freeware and you can make similar job with them. . .
