One sample run through lots of effects, but a large part of the sound is made by running the sample at really fast repetitions, so fast it just becomes a tone. That and making the sound repeat in fractions (?) or something like that. Like one trigger is 5 times and then the next is 3 times in the same space of time. Etc. Created by mangling a sample in reaper's js scripting language.

These are the ambient sounds of a sailboat underway. You hear the sounds of wind-filled sails, the tugs on line, and boat parts movement as the boat is moving through the water under a steady wind. You can hear when the boat changes direction from being close hauled to more down wind. The zoom h4n digital recorder was used in collecting this sound. Enjoy.

A gregorian chant melody line with arpeggiated harmony played from digital keyboard into a music maker midi recording. I gave it a whirl with a vst synthesizer voice called men's cathedral, twirled lots of dials and this came out.

Upper maxwell falls, evergreen, co, at the top of the falls. Recorded a little before dusk, 2017-07-19. Recorded binaurally using sound professionals ms-tfb-2 binaural microphone headset, 12vdc battery box, sound devices mixpre-6 at 24/192. Postprocessing: digital gain, downsampled to 16/48. Flac: encoded. The rock formations here play appealing tricks with the sound of the running and falling stream. Facing out over falls dropoff, vaguely. A lot of digital gain (+30db?) was applied in postprocessing. The analog preamp was originally set to +21db on the aux-in (ch5/6) input, but this may not have been the optimal gain staging. More rain and distant thunder recorded from an open window. I recorded it with an optimus tape deck and an old microphone (the tape i recorded it on was a maxell ur), i then used audacity and the same tape deck to convert it to digital. If you use it please tell me what you did with it, i would love to know.

A 7200 rpm western digital hard drive spins up, idles for about 15 seconds and shuts off. Nice motor noises along with the spin up. Recorded using a zoom h1n recorder very close to the hard drive. Noise reduction and cuts made using audacity.

A cataclystic, "buildup" sound effect resulted from extreme manipulation from two digital audio workstations - fl11 and reaper. The base sample was a public domain sound of a roland d50-esque sounding element which was heavily edited using volume-scaled automation, reverberation, pitch-shifting, transpositioning and trimming audio.

Raw sampled xlive. Exe on a hungarian windows 7 64-bit computer using audacity. The reason why it's only 11khz in frequency range is becaue 44 100 hz makes the sample too high pitched. Also had to make it mono because most of the sound was pushed to the right.
