I recorded a bunch of guitar noodling to a fostex x-26 four-track recorder, then recorded the tape to my computer with goldwave wherein i cut out a segment which was looped and then processed with reverb effects and other vsts in fl studio.

Used the bag sample from user mv4824 (http://www. Freesound. Org/samplesviewsingle. Php?id=61305) for make this deep reverb pad. I used goldwave to resample the sound.

I got hold of an old sony dat machine (tcd-d10 pro) and noticed a very interesting sound when i opened the door to the cassette compartment. The sound was recorded with an olympus ls-14 and was slightly edited in wavosaur.

Slightly better version of sound 678955. This 100-second cymbal roll is done using a hi-hat. Edited in audacity 3. 2. 4 at 48 khz with filter curve effects and fades.

Low battery toy story toy speech line. Creates a creepy effect when the toy tries to execute its voice line with little to no battery.

This was created by accident while trying to make engine noises. I can't remember the base sample but it's lost in the mix underneath reverb and other effects that create something that sounds to me like the interior of a helicopter. I hope that's useful to someone.

Simulation of a heavy object being dragged or pushed across the ice. Effect was created by dragging a small block of wood across a tolex covered surface, overlaid with sound of fingernail dragging across the bottom of an empty, but icy ice cube tray. Recorded with an sm57 dynamic mic.

Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. A sizzling effect made from close proximity xy (diaphragm) recording of oil on a high heat dropped onto a heated frying pan. Careful doing this, as this spits very hot oil back at you. It however will also create this rather high timbre sound very suited to those get scalded.

A 5 minute sound file made by muting the strings of one of my banjos and playing a small range of finger patterns in mixed order. Recorded direct to my computer with a few adobe auditions effects added to enhance the sound. A great fit to a short story or thought-provoking piece of work.
