The very traditional jarabe tapatío, one of the most beloved pieces that you can ask to a mariachi group. The last segment is commonly use as fanfare (in mexico we call it "una diana"); you probably hear it in old mexicans movies. I recorded this on the street (so, you need to equalize it a little), in oakland, california, in august 20, 2011, with my zoom h2. Use in case of 5 de mayo celebration.

I composed this out of feeling and added the background violin after. I like the keychange in it. I'm a producer but wasn't really sure what to do with it after so i uploaded it here. I build it in fl studio (32bits) with the soundfonts plugin (the soundfont used was "sgm")overdubs were done with a "strings" sample and the rest was just the pure instrument with eq and reverb. (it also includes a subtle piano and choir).

It's nearly impossible to find sound effects of someone handling an instrument and not playing it. . . At least it was until i uploaded this!. This was an acoustic guitar, but can be pitched up or down for similar smaller or bigger instruments. There's rubbing, knocking, and gliding fingers over the strings. No need to credit me. On an even night of april 2018, in a huge temple in bangkok -none of the famous ones-, i went to crash funerals -i truly recommend do this; people is very nice and the spectacle it's just amazing, you have singing, acrobatics, free food. . . This recording came from a taoist funeral -that night they have also some others in that temple -i need to find out which one, but i think it's next to sam sen subway station-, many, buddhist funerals. Just now, i realized the singing it's in mandarin. Over the funeral chatting, you heard the singer voice and the instrument, timbals, erhu. A very oriental ambiance. Not edited. Recorded with my old, and now quite cranky, zoom ii recorder.
