24bit 48khz wav. File recorded on zoom f4 and a rode nt2-a. I was walking along and i saw a cat that was meowing at me and i thought i would record it. The sound file is raw and has not be been run through any post production software.

Recorded in my small apartment bathroom because i just need to start recording stuff to get my sound library going. Recorded with my zoom h4n using its built-in condenser mics at a 90 degree xy coincident pattern. Bonus cat meows toward the end (translated as "daddy, what are you doing? why are you in the bathroom with the door cracked??").

This is a singing glass with a cat meowing in the background. 1. Hold the empty wine glass on a tabletop at the base of the stem with one hand. 2. Wet the index or middle finger of your other hand with some water. 3. Lightly rub your wet finger along the rim of the glass. 4. As you rub the glass, you will hear the "singing" sound of the glass. This is a stereo recording of two cats eating wet food and dry food from the same bowl. It was recorded with a pair of rode nt-5s. I added reverb so they're in a cave. There is a version without reverb also.

This is my siamese cat purring on my lap. I made this sound for an assignment of mine. Maybe it will be useful to someone.

I just pitch up my voice where it's at a comfortable level and not at the highest peak in pitch. I slowly ease into the vocal sound to avoid any vocal damage. While i'm easing in there's a very quiet high pitch whistle coming from the back of my throat, too quiet for the microphone. Sometimes while recording i do get a squeak and a crackle sound that gets picked up, but none of that here.

This is a sample i did a while back when i was looking for a new default error sound for my computer. Taken from a old vinyl toy dog, cat and bear.

Pouring pellets into a bowl: here cat food is being poured into a metal bowl. You can hear the crackling of the bag, the metallic clatter of pellets hitting the bowl. Different temp’s can be found due to the speed in which the pellets were being poured. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.

Field recording in my kitchen of a female cat meowing and grunting for food.

This recording, encoded in vbr format, is one hour and 44 minutes long. Like the other recordings in this sound pack, the mother cat and her kittens are inside a nesting box in the garage. A small stereo microphone (olympus me51s) was placed inside the brooding area. After editing, they were exported to mp3 format. Sounds include mewing, purring, shuffling, and nursing. Some occasional heartbeats may be heard as the mother cat or kittens move inside. Other sounds include a rooster crowing, and people working outside, and some occasional people talking in the background. At this stage, the kittens are in week 3 of their life.
