The sounds of a passing thunderstorm from out my back porch in downtown austin. Includes some low and far thunder rumbles, rain drops on asphalt, and far off city noise. Recorded using a sennheiser mke600 directly into audition (dual mono). No processing applied.

This is my first submission to the site. I've recently been exploring sound design a little bit more and thought i would provide something. Here is 15 minutes of ambient sound recorded around 5 am on october 10th, 2011. I used a shure sm58 microphone through a native instruments audio 8 dj interface. Without a microphone amplifier or my active microphone ready to use i ended up amplifying this about 52 db then removed the extraneous noise by 80% @ 40 db using the noise reduction plug-in in adobe audition cs5. 5. Finally, saving the result to wav @ 44,100 hz, 16-bit.

A simple "tick tock" of the clock with an owl every few seconds.

This audio is a recording of cars passing by a street at nighttime. Included in the audio is the sound of cars, crickets, and possibly leaves falling. The street isn't busy, but it isn't alone.

I live next to a train track which at night can have a very moody atmosphere, listening to them whizzing by. These are both passenger and freight trains. All the sounds were recorded over the span of half an hour.

This recording was made alongside a camera trap survey while at loagan bunut national park in sarawak, malaysia. It's a quite nice little bit that we didn't expect to ever find a use for, but came across this website and through i would share it. It lasts a good long time with pretty consistent sounds, so best wishes on it's use. This night sound was recorded in south alabama in a bottom by a creek. It was recorded using a zoom h1 with the rode videomic go attached a dead cat windscreen was used. The clip was cleaned up in adobe audition cs6. The clip is edited so it can be used as a loop.

This is my city in the night i need it for an animated short and decided to share it, hope it will be useful.
