Yet another field recording of a spanish market, this time at alhama de murcia with a market vendor shouting to his potential costumers. Recorded with a sounddevices 442 mixer and 2 sennheiser 416 mic's onto a tascam dr100-mkii.

This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.

Late august here in the midwest is the time for the loud choruses of insects. This recording, done in the backyard of a small town, features the classic"ebb and flow and swell" of the dusk insects. Since a park is nearby, you also hear in the background the excited voices of kids playing---maybe these youngsters do realize that soon they will be back in school and that the joyous, careful time of summer play and reflection will soon be over. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder using its built-in internal microphones. The volume was set on 80. Night time at an intersection in a residential part of tokyo. Normally the street is quite busy, but at 11 pm you can hear more discrete sounds, including people walking around. The only processing was trimming at mixdown of the 2 independent stereo tracks. Recorded with 4 mics.

Recorded on a sony pd170 camcorder using a pair of sennheiser mkh-416 shotgun condenser microphones in a crossed stereo configuration. About 6 mtrs from the pond. Some creatures chirping at night, with city ambient noise in the background. I don't know if they are birds, or bats, or what. I stayed at my grandmother's place for a few days, where these creatures are heard every night, but no one ever saw them to be able to identify them. Sound of a single droplet. The standard sound for like a leaky faucet or a drop hitting a puddle or bucket of water. I actually made this sound with my mouth and tapping my cheek at the same time, but it is a very convincing drop sound, which can easily be looped at the speed you want for that "continuous drop" sound in the background.

Weird e-piano/synth ditty, used a few times in tracks over the years. Has a peculiar moody quality. Anyway i'd probably just process the hell out of it with distortion/granulation/slicing and using it as a droney texture because it's sloppy and weird.

Incredibly clear quality of a dvd case opening and closing, i used audacity to remove some of my camera's noise and the result honestly blew me away. At around 3 seconds in i say "again", to clarify that i was opening and closing it one more time, edit where needed.

Manipulated sounds, mainly dogs barking, recorded into a korg kaoss pad3 from a hp computer. The recordings on each pad edited to fit a time frame. Played on four pads on the korg pad and recorded back into the hp computer into cubase. Then manipulated further using standard eq and a tint of reverb. Location: reykjanesbær, iceland.
