Quiet ambience in a small church sanctuary with no one around.

A recording made february 24th, 2019 in a residential section of a small midwestern town. . . The stiff north winds are rattling the remaining dry leaves. . . You will also hear the subtle singing of the birds that always greet you in late winter. . . Birds like house sparrows and starlings. From time to time, you'll hear the tinkly, nice sound of some wind-chimes hanging on the front porch of some house. The skittering of dried and old leaves scooting across the ground also makes an appearance. Enjoy this cold late-winter soundscape!. Recording made around 8 in the morning with the fantastic sony pcm d100, using the internal microphones.

At a baby shower and there are these awesome paper pom poms that sounded so amazing when you dragged them over your hand, like wind rustling stiff grass or dry leaves. Lots of variants of speed, direction to give you motion options in the stereo track. I'm sorry about all the wind pops, but if you're okay with a mono track, there are clean passes on both right and left. Recorded on a tascam-dr-40 and cleaned up in audacity. Production-now. Recorded with sennheiser 8020 in a self made jecklin disk setup to sounddevices 477. Movo wst80 windprotection. I erased the few passing cars but otherwise no filtering. There is of course a lot of low energy which could be filtered or used. . .

A hot summers day in the deep swedish forest. Recorded with zoom h5 with two dpa 4060 mounted in a ab stereo fashion. Birds chatting and bugs flying by is major elements in this field recording. Decided not to remove to much of the bugs in post because i felt it might suck out the soul of the recording. In post: in pro tools i removed some low rumble, and and trimmed the highs just a little bit. Added a "pro expander" to lower some noise, both generated by the h5 and the location. Hope you like it.

The old flour mill at woodbridge in suffolk, england is powered by water from a tidal pond, which refills at every high tide. It is one of only two in the country. The sound is of the vertical wooden main drive shaft creaking in its bearings, with the mill-wheel rumbling in the background. Recorded with my sony pcm-m10.

Large, creaking wooden ship sailing on the ocean. The creaks are recordings from my wooden (very creaky) house. I live at the sea, so that part (the waves) was easy.
