A very old lift in järve hospital in tallinn, estonia i visited. The lift doors wind themselves up before actually opening. The bell is pretty ald and dead as well. Recorded with soundproffessionals ms-bmc3 binaural microphones with zoom h1 recorder.

I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. You can hear people in the park next to york minster chatting, walking, laughing and there's distant city noises. Then, around halfway through the recording the bells start to ring out for midday. Ringing of a small metal bell. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. Attribution appreciated but not required.

Not much to say, found a ceramic bell at a thrift store for 2$ and thought the sounds might be useful to someone.

Rode nt4 mic with a rycote wind muff on (slight attenuation of the higher frequencies is noticeable to my ears) sitting on a chair under an awning on my porch. I hit record slightly too late to catch the first couple of bell rings, but got most of it. First we hear the church signal 8pm, then we hear the courthouse do the same thing. Also some wind in the trees right above the mic, some rain, a bit of thunder, and some cars in a small town. Also a huge truck with loud engine that sounds almost like thunder towards the end, in fact it was mixed with thunder at one moment. Captured with maudio delta1010lt soundcard.

Field recording in the french pyrenees. A large flock of sheep run down the mountainside. Shepherd calling and the odd dog bark or bleet but it's more or less a steady flow of bells. 48k/16 bitrecorded with a schoeps cmc6 ortf array into a wendtx2/fostex fr2recorded in 2009.

A high-pitched, metal windchime, sent through some granular processing software. The reel is divided into two, long halves: one with the sound playing forwards and one with it playing in reverse. This means i can easily switch from forward to reverse without tuning issues, simply by applying cv to the morphagene's 'slide' control.
