The rattling of chains is getting closer, then we follow the horse and we can ear the lood steps on the forest soil of fallen leaves. Then the horse is going away and the rattling of chains desappears slowly in a silent forest of windy pines. France, january 2023. My house is next to a nature preserve but there is also a road where cars drive by every so often so there are parts of this recording with car sounds and parts with just the birds chirping.

A recording of strong spring wind gusts through a stand of mature, tall white pines in a midwest forest. I used my handy zoom h4n recorder, and i used my rode nt2 shotgun microphone, cable-tied to a sapling. No kidding, i forgot my sturdy tripod, so i improvised using some bungee cords that i carry with me, tied the shotgun to a sapling and this is what i recorded.

Recording of a small creek, water tumbling over a small limestone rock. I placed my zoom h4n recorder with built-in microphones so close that you will hear the ocassional "pop/puff" as a water drop actually hits the big foam wind-screen.

Created only with audacity and magix. A few sawtooth waves with slow tremoloand a lot of high pass filtering and pitch-shifting. I added filtered pink noisefor the background noise and to make it sound more naturel.
