I just was messing with notes in musescore.

Wine glass, tuned with water, being hit with an improvised percussion stick made from chopstick and a piece of plastic. Recorded with olympus ls-10 (no zoom) in a small reverberating bathroom, edited in audacity. The whole pack intended to be used as a virtual instrument. Note c#4 (root note c5, 440hz).

I play three notes on tenor trombone: Bb3, Bb2 and Bb1. They are all in first position. The first two notes are in the standard range of the trombone, while the last note is a pedal tone. This occurs when the instrument resonates at the fundamental, rather than the 2nd harmonic. Pedal Bb is relatively easy on trombone, but much harder on trumpet (I'm unable to do it, despite being proficient at trumpet and at a beginner's level on the trombone).

I composed a fairly long midi loop of chord progressions & let each section repeat twice. Then i layered a bunch of return tracks of the same line with arpegiated outputs played with straight, quarter note swing eight note swing, 16th note swing, & 32nd note swing all played together. The output was then compressed, heavily chorused through multiple fx devices, and stereo panned into the nonsense you hear.
