Sailing from spain to canary islands in october with a 12 meter yacht. Wind speed was around 10 knots. I positioned the recorder close to the railing at the starboard side. Recorded with an olympus ls-12 and a rycote wind shield.

I made three recordings of the saarikoski at different points with quite different sound results( 1 of 3).

To my surprise i found that vivid rushing watersound seems to be loopable at any moment of the recording. (recording 3 of 3).

This is the second part of a recording an overflowing brook in summer, out in a farmer's field after a rainstorm. This one is pretty clear but there may be some artifacts created by my phone being jostled, or other sound sources in the area, but it's long so those could be easily cut out. Edit it however you like.

During a recent wandering in one of the many woods around me i found this wonderful small creek which, even though small, had a nice flow to it thanks to some recent rain. As i sat down to record the soothing sound of the riffles, a group of chickadees decided to come check me out. Enjoy.

This is the sound of a storm drain emptying into a gutter. My street floods in heavy rain, giving the storm drain a river-like sound. I placed my roland r-05 on the sidewalk just above the drain. It babbles and splashes like a river, but it is on a residential city street. I recorded it at 2am, so there are few vehicles in the recording though several faintly pass by in the background. Enjoy. :).

This is recorded at droescher's mill in cranford nj. The local dam used to power a waterwheel. The wheel is no longer in operation but it's still a nice relaxing spot. A little waterfall is in the foreground, a big waterfall (the dam) is in the background, and the sounds of traffic are audible faintly. Same location as the water and rocks pack. I recorded these sounds by splashing in a small stream with a stick. You can also hear the stream babbling away, and there's ambient forest sounds in the background.
