This series is done through layering and processing many samples of drum sounds i synthesised using various plugins namely xoxo's vst's and zynaddsubfx mixed with some old hardware samples i made a long time ago. There are 4 packs of the same series : perc snare kick and hats all using the same process.

Classic roll-drums fill-in with funny sounds.

This is a recording of my air dehumidifier that has a strange sound to it, so i decided to process it, and now it sounds like a computer lab^^ have fun with using it! after some editing it turns out to be loopable (this is the full recording).

A rhythm midi made at the keyboard then processed through the dn-e1 virtual synthesizer in magix music maker daw.

Lots of electrical noise. I got this sound using an aux cable from my laptop to a broken 3. 5mm to 5. 25mm adapter to my mixer. Noises were generated by my fingers scrubbing around the laptop's trackpad and clicking keys on the keyboard. Also my air conditioner is generating a constant noise. Every few minutes there is a neat glitchy sound, i'm guessing it's from some data being processed on the laptop. .

I think i've made this out of a hg fortune synth but i can't remember which one and like usual, done in fl studio with quite some eqing applied to it too. Excuse the popping though, it's an artifact caused by the synth.

Strong processed kick made of few layers of kicks compressed and eq'ed thru a neve channel strip.

Original sound captured using a zoom h5 recorder and a rode nt5 microphone. Cut and reversed in ocenaudio. Timestretching and filtering (pro-filter, talk wah) applied using reaper. This sound is based on my voice, child's cry, dog barking and running in leash. Low thump sounds are pencil clicks. All slowed down and mixed together.

I did not use paul's extreme sound stretch, but rather took an original recording of a glockenspiel (with a lot of reverb), and set the playback rate to around 20% its original value. This stretching was combined with use of the following plugins:. Valhalla space modulatorni phasistdr nova geim widertal reverb 4soundspot velo2 limiter.

Night time at an intersection in a residential part of tokyo. Normally the street is quite busy, but at 11 pm you can hear more discrete sounds, including people walking around. The only processing was trimming at mixdown of the 2 independent stereo tracks. Recorded with 4 mics.

Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. Sampled into ableton with just a touch of reverb to help the trail smooth out, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random parameters in massive, and very little other effects used.
