Converted to b format using vvtetravst, then processed to stereo as wide cardioids at + and - 45 degrees using ambisonics toolkit (atk). Light noise reduction applied using izotope rx 7 spectral de-noise. High pass filter applied to reduce low end rumble. Some editing done to remove wind buffeting. Loading an alien craft.

Many find the sound of a prop-plane flying lazily very peaceful --- especially if it is a late summer day against a blue sky on the edge of a forest. Even though i was actually on an outing to record the birds of the deep forest in summer, this plane came right overhead and, well, here it is. The ocassional soft chirp of the birds adds a nice touch. Recorded with my zoom h4n recorder with the internal microphones set on an input volume of 75.

Walk around otari-wilton bush reserve in wellington, new zealand. Sunny day, lots of circadas, birds and sounds of stream. Plane overhead, some footsteps and other people on tracks. The reserve is about 100 hectares of native bush on the edge of wellington.

Recording a stream in jardim gulbenkian, lisbon. It's a beautiful and tranquil park in central lisbon that happens to be under a flight path, so the ambience is regularly interrupted by the sound of planes landing/ taking-off.

Autumn is here and, to me, one of the most soothing of fall sounds is the wind blowing through the leaves of one of my favorite cottonwood tress, along with the lazy, nap-inducing sound of a propeller-driven plane slowly floating through robin-egg blue skies. This recording may sound a bit raw, because of the wind, but, i think it is nice to listen to. This was recorded using my handy zoom h4-n recorder and the microphone that i used is my trusty rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone.

Carpenters and other workmen are heard more or less throughout. Cars and trucks pass by frequently; trucks beeping as they back up are also heard. This is a little recording on my tascam dr-44wl in kjfk airport new york, waiting to fly home with my wife. There was a bird flying around the in the building at our gate, which two young kids were loving. You can hear them say they see the poop, which i did see too lol. Recorded at 320kbps mp3.
