I`ve made a basic white noise using operator from ableton live 9and then i added some sidechain-compression to itthen i removed the low end so it does not interfere with other sounds in your track.

Thunder storm in london, it happened in the early hours so traffic noise is low. There's a little hiss from the recorder, some of it is rain though. I've uploaded the whole file, its pretty big, i can upload an mp3 if anyone needs it.

Ben burtt style retro laser gun blast made from hitting a long fence wire. I left more of the tail resonance on this one. This recording is unprocessed so you can shape it yourself.

A satisfying slow-drip of water droplets. Recorded in an old shower with an h1 zoom. There's a click near the beginning, and a section near the middle where the droplets speed up, so if you want to use it for ambiance a little editing may be required.

It annoyed me i couldn't find this atmosphere anywhere here, so i decided to build this for you: remember the classic "thunder rolls then a wolf howls" sound bed used on so many kids' shows back in the 1970's? well, here you go! this is uses the classic thunderclap by a freesound user whose name i can't remember but will ad when i do remember, some more classic moaning wind by me, a retro wolf howl performed by yours truly with added reverb on top. Use freely and enjoy.

This is a recording straight off my phone, so sorry for the terrible quality and the rustling. The speaker in the car was acting up and played some sort of choppy cut of what i believe to be rocket man, since that’s what started playing when the bluetooth got back into range. Yeah, it's so screwed up you can barely tell it was from that sample. That ringing in the back is a stretched and pitched piece of the same sample. I was trying to make a dub loop, but this is what i got. Really freaky.

Sound of big-truck deceleration. We hear so many and they're all different. This one comes to a stop, and you get an air brake release as a bonus.

A passanger train crossing road near jerusalem , israel. The train is only 3 cars long , so the passing itself is rather short. Recorded with at822 mic , fr2le recorder , and edited with protools le.

A loop i came up with that i'm calling "double overtime". Kind of a good and bad feeling at the same time ;) i wanna go home!. So yea i thought it sounded sweet.

From a sample set made in 2003 using vinyl records on a motor-less (i. E. Hand driven) turntable. All sounds in this set are less than 1 sec long, so can be good for percussion hits, sfx, etc.

I recorded these frogs on march 4th in port townsend, wa, usa around 9pm. The sound was loud and intense from so many frogs in a marshy area. I used a zoom h4n pro with a windsock attached.

A french accordion sound. I was looking for an accordion sound to create a french or parisian atmosphere. Couldn't find one, so i created this, using the accordion voice on a yamaha keyboard. Loopable. Fairly generic melody. No attribution required. Enjoy!.

I needed this for a film i made but i couldnt find it on this site so i made it using audacity. This is supposed to sound like a police man yelling through a megaphone.

A tuned chau gong from my personal collection. I made these samples long ago and only did one take per gong. So, these sounds are a bit rough, but that should do well to suit the kinds of music that would use these gongs. I have tried loading single samples from this set (especially #4) across an entire keyboard, and playing that one sample as if it were the whole set, and that has worked out well. So, if one of the gongs crashes too much or decays too quickly for your liking, it should be trivial to replace that sound with another, pitch-shifted one.

Recording of my duduk. It's in the key of a, so i played a b3 and pitched it up to c3 with melodyne so it's usable in a sampler or to import as a wavetable in serum or whatever. Because of it's harmonic content, it actually works great as a clean yet relatively translatable sub bass for electronic music. I used it to make a wavetable in serum which works perfectly. The instrument is a double reed woodwind folk instrument from armenia, the reeds are made of a flattened piece of bamboo, and the body is made of the wood from an apricot tree. And it's history dates back to approximately 1200bc. Enjoy!.

I'm doing some ww1 commemorative stuff and couldn't find any marching on freesound. So here's my effort: 25s of medium pace marching on gravel, made from a few freesound samples mixed and retimed to match the pace. It's a very bright, close-mic sound, with wide stereo spread. It should loop seamlessly. So this is a composite made from:60076__sinatra314__footsteps-in-gravel-loop109487__tomlija__11-footsteps-on-the-gravel213307__taira-komori__walking-on-the-earth. I've retimed them all to be roughly in synch, added a multitap delay to boost the numbers of feet and some eq to give more of an impression of space.

Mind the loudness and piercing frequencies. Feedback made using only a self-patched random*source serge triple+ waveshaper, or tws+. Recorded with and formatted with splices for use with the make noise morphagene, but can use for and with whatever of course. Warning that it's it's quite high pitched so you may need to pitch it down with the morphagene's pitch knob a good bit if you want it less harsh. I think i acidentally hit splice instead of record one time so there might be a random short splice somewhere, but maybe it adds some splice length dynamics. . .

A neutral, static room tone - with some reverb og distortion. I have used it in the background for radio shows, when recorded in a studio that's too silent - but of course mixed down a lot so you can just barely hear it.
