Short clip of a cat purring like a lawnmower (and drooling all over me in the process). Quality isn't amazing, but okay. Recorded with a not-so-pro sony icd-px720. Slight compression, boosted volume, and tried to cut out some of the hiss with eq without totally ravaging the clip.

This sounds was originally supposed to be leaves crunching but when i finished fixing it up, it turned up sounding like i was eating chips. So all you who need the crunching of chips and what seems to be a bit of chewing, this is for you.

Recorded at the office when it was raining. I didnt have any specific tool to record the room so i just brought my cell phone and i started recording. There is some noises when dragging the phone, but it you edit on audacity it wont be much of a problem.

For free use. This is file for creating deep ambiance. Just mix that sound with other ambiance sound (on free sound there is at least a million such sounds. . . Like noice. . Like thunder rain. . . Like station. . . Like people tallk and so far. . . ). It works best with noises or other deep sounds. I think if you add a little bit of that sound to other audio file you can get very spezial sound for ambiante. I will add similar sound as a only vocal too. This was produced by tapping on a stethoscope which had an earbud pressed against a shure sm57 mic. Low pass filter applied, as well as compression and a gate. Chorus added. Used a recording cassette deck as a preamp going into an m-audio audiophile usb soundcard. Note: if you're having problems listening to this clip, the cutoff frequency of your speaker set may be too high(solution: new speakers). The signal strength exists almost entirely in the very low frequencies, so you may need a sub-woofer to hear it. Otherwise, try turning your speaker volume all the way up. Doing so may saturate the signal and at least allow you to hear the harmonics of the signal caused by the distortion. I don't recommend it, but you'll at least maybe be able to hear something.

Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. This ambience was recorded on zoom h6 with msh-6 mid-side stereo mic capsule. Recording was edited and decoded. Mic was positioned right in a frame of an open window so that it won't get flood from a heavy rain and pick up much room reflections. My flat where i recorded from was on 4th floor. There was a busy street 50m far from the apartment building itself, a bit further there was a park. Rain at that night was heavy. Also you can hear several heavy thunder hits of various distance throughout the whole recording. Hope this recording will help to enhance the sound of your next project. Pine cones dropping and landing on a bed of pine needles. This recording was made on a windy day, so there is some background "whooshing" wind; all in all, i think these pine cones softly landing on the needles can be put to good use. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder, with a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. For this recording i literally wanted to get as close as i could, so i placed the shotgun microphone on the ground and carefully let the pine cones fall as close to the microphone as possible, but without hitting it. *not easy to do. I did edit out some of the direct hits!. Enjoy, and if you ever get the chance to spend a warm afternoon in the peace of a thick stand of pines, you should. Kvgarlic.

Welcome to rome. We needed some drum cadences for julius caesar and i was unable to find any i really liked so we grabbed our orchestra drummer here at the theater and we came up with 13 different cadences for us including jfk's funeral march. Most are done on snare and then again on a single tom, easily looped for duration. They have no verb on them so you can add as you desire for your space. A digital sounding humming ringing noise, or a ringing humming sound. Not really sure how to describe this what this is, but i liked the way it sounded so i uploaded it. Sound is a paulstretched cello. Used audacity's pitch lower till it made that ringing noise. Was trying to make sound for ambient tracks.

I stopped at a dog park in los angeles on my way to work. There weren't too many dogs, but the maintenance workers were there cleaning up, so i recorded them. Recorded with: sound devices 702t, beyer dynamic mc930 mics.

Two small blades sliding over each other. The sound is made by using two small kitchen knifes however, try pitching it down to -12 semitones and further for a sword-like sound. The noise of the recording is gated so it still comes through a little on the decay.

Some bells - first played one by one, then some clusters. The bells were part of an art installation from yougoslavian artist stipo pranyko, who was having a retrospective at tea, in santa cruz de tenerife. This was recorded in the big halls of the museum, that's why there's so much reverb. Recorded with a zomm h4 n.

Field recording of a large truck being used to transport some kind of utility maintenance equipment. I couldn't begin to tell you what kind of equipment, but i can overprocess the sound it makes, so i did. Sounds a bit more industrial and imposing now.

I was wearing a flat cap so the sheep thought i was the farmer and raced down the hill towards me, expecting to be fed. They were disappointed. It was early may and the air was still and clear. You can make out the echoes from the steep hill behind them.

This was made with kontact and a korg ea-1, mixed with a behringer mixer with light dirt and overdrive. Sampled into an mpc. Left and right are separate channels processed differently. So each sample is actually 2 different sample, 3 if you combine them. 44. 1k, 16-bit.

I like to listen to static (often actually) and it actually shifts a lot through out the day. So i heard some cool ringy stuff. . & decided to sweep through the am band. . . And actually touching the screen of my cell made the static louder. Sounds like a synth.

One snare out of a bunch of custom snares made by me, combined samples, multi-band compressed and hit to tape. Custom to the point that i layered and re-sampled, layered and resampled. So much mangling and layering and resampling that its impossible to tell you the source to these snares.

I made this with iampagan's slimy_flesh cc0 sound as i needed something to draw attention to a centipede i had appearing in my animation and couldn't find anything else that would suit it. It's not the best sound ever (i'm a newbie), but maybe somebody else might have use for it. So 'ere ya go!.

These are very soft and quiet bubbles burbling up to the surface of the water. I couldn't find any sounds for soft, gentle bubbles – so i made some. Recorded using a blue yeti, with a large plastic bowl in front of the microphone, and straws taped together reaching outside the booth. Raw, unprocessed audio.
