So i got bored and decided to create a mock rwt. This is just me rambling on about it. Don't worry, i'll include the links i said i would in the description of the mock rwt. Also, this sound will not be included in the noaa weather radio pack. I appologize if this upsets you, but i figured it's not exactly nwr content. The mock rwt will be included, though, as it is somewhat related to nwr. My friend's dog makes these strange and scary sounds, so i had to capture what i could. This is a small selection of up close recordings of a pug grunting, snoring, breathing into a sony m10. Summer afternoon sounds at denver, colorado's union station water sculpture plaza, with children playing. Sitting and facing to the southeast, toward the center of water installation, with its alternating flying arcs of water. Recorded at 24/96 using a sound professionals ms-tfb-2 binaural mic set with 12vdc battery box and a sound devices mixpre-6. Initially uploaded as redbook audio, but the 96khz seems to have the best spatial clarity and so i'm resubmitting this now without that downsampling step, for those who download.

The recording was done using the pure data adc code, and the necessary code to make a sampler with [tabwrite ~]; 4. The recording was made with the audio interface provided by the tb-03 monophonic synthesizer and with the arduor 5 digital audio station; the processing instruments used to perform equalization, mixing and mastering, the so-called “eq arduor team” and “compressor arduor team” virtual instruments.

The sound of birds and distant thunder awoke me from a long nap, and so i sprung off the couch and grabbed my recording equipment, dashing outside just in time to record the arrival of a thunderstorm. Over the course of this clip, the storm gets closer and closer, until it starts to rain with increasing intensity. The clip is nicely unmolested by wind, and contains a nice background of birds. A tremendous thunderclap is featured in the middle, three minutes in.

Warning: lots of bad language. _. Funny story actually. Ever heard of that creepypasta about boothworld industries? well, i had called the number out of curiosity and got an automated message from said "industry. " hours later, i received a call back from a live person. I tried to record the call but wasn't quick enough. These are my sounds of disbelief, terror, and excitement immediately after the call. I took out any specific mentions so that this can be used for any type of horrified reactions. And in case you're wondering, everything is okay. It's a loooooooong story.

For noise reduction, capture a noise print around 0. 09. Exceptionally quiet night, no wind, no other sounds. The gordon river power station was 20 kms distant. Other mechanical equipment or vehicles greater then 50 kms. I could just perceive the electrical hum from the station (or from transmission lines), and so could my partner, but i can’t hear it on the recording. See also "tiny waves lapping #1".

Pretty cool vocal i made for my dubstep track. Maybe someone else might find it useful as well. :)it's loopable, but i left a bit of space at the end for the reverb, so you might want to chop it first, if you're going to loop it. 140 bpm, e minor (probably). I tried and tried and tried to find a genuine audio recording of a sandstorm, but all i could find were synthetic mixes. What genuine audio i did find always had some other noise or voice polluting the audio. So, i found a couple of great wind audio recordings, some wind rustling a dry corn field, and some low earth rumbling and combined all of that to create the closet approximation i could to the authentic sandstorm audio i was able to find but couldn't use. I hope others find this audio useful in any of your projects. Feel free to use with no worries.

I am a film director, and i have asthma. Here is me, a woman in los angeles, shaking up and using my albuterol inhaler. Entire sequence: shaking it up first (which we all do lol), then exhaling all air from my lungs so i can suck in a good amount of medicine, then depressing the trigger and sucking in. Kudos to toiletroll for uploading his inhaler audio first, but this is the entire asthma inhaler sequence start to finish. No need to credit me. Just use and have fun. Enjoy.

I found two melodies in gis_sweden's excellent "you deserve it - friday randomness ii"http://freesound. Org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/362508/. And quantized them into a 92 bpm 4/4 thing. Each melody is presented panned, with and without a beat, then simultaneously. It's sort of an accidental counterpoint. I also messed up his nice analog sound into some harsh digital junk. There's a lot of high frequency energy here so watch it, and apologies to mr. Fletcher, mr. Munson and their daughter, curve.

But it ended up way too dirty a concept and i got uncomfortable and never used it. A low frequency hum that will work on pc speakers (at least it does on my pc). . - i made this sound because i needed a deep hum for a composition, but as it turned out my pc speakers cut off low frequencies. A quick googling taught me that this is common for many pc's, but also that there might be ways around it in terms of designing waves that the speakers can produce. And so, after playing around with audacity abit, i came up with this low frequency hum that works well for my purpose at least. - i hope it might help others with similar issues.

Needed different sounds of men crying in pain. Didn´t found the right expressions of pain here on freesound. So recorded a set of different noises, grunts and crys. Made some fast mixes - but you can take all the originals and do your own creative combination. But for the stressed and lazy ones - you can use the fast mixes :-) i just cleaned them up. The sound of southampton water at around 5am on a bank holiday monday (national holiday). The microphone was placed right at the shoreline where the water meets the land. There are distant boats/ships, the oil refinery and a few sea birds. There was no wind at all when i first turned up, so i could use the microphone without any wind protection at all. Mixpre3, rode svmx, 17hz hp.

I thought i had a diy contact mic somewhere, but i did not find it. But i found another thing. A contact mic for an instrument tuner. But (again) it had a 1/4 inch mono plug. That meant i could not connect it to my computer mic in. But (i know) what if i plug it in to my modular synth. Surprise. . . Then i could add a little filter, pan and spring reverb. So clamped the mic on to my external 3,5 inch disc drive and recorded. This is my submission to dare 51.

Stereo recording of a train arriving and departing at aldgate east tube station, and another train departing on the other track. London underground trains have rubber wheels and a characteristic kind of rumble. The doors open and close automatically. Faint tannoy announcement in the background, and a couple of electronic warning tones when the doors open and close. Aldgate east station is huge but has a surprisingly 'dry' and 'dead' acoustic so that it is very quiet when the trains have gone. Recorded on a zoom h2 recorder, front microphones, 90 degree separation. No amplification or equilisation on this sample.

This is version 1 of an atmos recording of a busy beach during the summer. In this version i am facing the sea so it picks up more of the surf sounds and people playing in the sea itself. I am playing a 9ft long log of ash wood (fraxinus excelsior) that i cut in half and hollowed out then stuck back together 15 years ago. While i play it i am remembering when i cut it and the place it was growing and the reason i felled it, and remembering when i revisited that place 7 years later and saw the tree growing back so well from the cut. I am remembering/dreaming about all the other times i played it and the reasons why. I am "future dreaming" of what will be its part in the space opera and what effect it will have as well :).

I've used freesound shared sounds for my podcasts since 2020. I needed the sound of a dog wagging its tail on a wooden floor for my latest episode and couldn't find an appropriate one. So i created this sound by talking sweetly to my dog while lying on his side on the floor. The original audio file had more of me talking than my dog wagging his tail. But this is a good summary of what it sounds like when he thumps his tail. And i thought i'd give back to freesound by sharing it. Feel free to use it however you want.

Made in ableton live. A slow firing heavy weapon. 19 layers were used to create this one. Eq was used to select different frequencies from various weapon samples and compressed together for the inital transient or pop. Time based fade in/out layering was used for the sustain and reverb tails so they fit nicely together. The single shot that was layered together was then printed as a new audio sample. I created a loop and pitched every shot by a few cents or 1 semitone to add variation. Each sample was then manually shifted on the timeline forward or backward by milliseconds to give a more realistic feel in timing rather than sound robotic. Each shot was sidechained to duck down in volume when a new shot triggers for more clarity. Mechanical trigger and bolt movement samples were add in before/after the initial transient of the shot. Shell hit floor samples were used for added detail. I felt the shots lacked a good sub bass so an eq was used to filter out the sub and replaced with a rapidly decaying 808 kick drums sub. Once the loop was formed, all shots were then grouped together and processed with a transient designer into a clipper, a compressor, a maximizer, ott multiband, gluing reverb, stereo spread and then into a final limiter.
