Five minutes of rain, artificially created. Same mix as my other "five minutes of rain" upload, but without the reverb in case you want to add your own. Process:. Using a blue yeti usb condenser mic on the cardioid pattern, i made a 30-minute recording of sounds from my sink (drips, splashes, different faucet pressures) and cut them up into 60 files, later edited down to 20. These were layered together and mixed with white, pink, and brownian noise. Slight noise removal applied. Recorded basic mic noise, and used a subtractive processor (reafir in reaper) to remove that sound from the final mix. .

A suspenseful riser made from a wet mix of a rate-shifted bed frame being hitted and reversed after it has been "glued" or rendered as is, producing a deep, "mega-marvin" similar sample. A sample that was created from utilizing chromatic tones, stretching, reverb and the use of the wet/dry filtering to get the mix "just right". If you aren't aware of what the mega-marvin is. Mega-marvins are essentially instruments containing extremely heavy string, woodwind and varying density of materials that generate strong noises, trailing ambiances and brass-like sound qualities quite suited to the horror genre, generating a daunting and sorrowful sounds. The cicadas crawl out of the ground, shed their skins, and climb up into the trees. One cicada makes a loud and distinctive sound, but a whole group of them creates a dull roar. This recording was made on the cemetery ridge trail at clear creek metro park in rockbridge, ohio. Rootsy solo mandolin cue, part of a "matched set" to be used in different places in a podcast, radio show, or video. The set contains segments from a second or two up to about a minute, to be used for cues, hits, bumps, interstitials and voiceovers. The music is a roundback mandolin from 1900 improvising in the key of g. The feel is uptempo, traditional, natural, organic, old time, americana. Squeaky audio cable-to-speaker incomplete connection. One end is plugged into a speaker and the other is not plugged into anything. The squeaking sound is made from my fingers touching the tip and sides of the metal tip of the non-connected end of the cable. The variation of sound and pitch is from moving my fingers up and down the metal tip in different speeds, angles, and placements. The sound has been slowed way down, and the pitch has been taken way down too, to create a low drone sound for industrial purposes or in mad chemistry lab scenes, etc. Anything with a dark, industrial, and slight sci-fi feels.

Fireworks- recording fireworks is really strange. There are two distinct things going on with fireworks- the sound of the explosion, and the powerful physical impact our bodies feel when all that sound energy reaches us. Thing is, the mics don’t have any way of capturing that physical impact; they can only record the pop sound of the initial explosion. So what ends up on tape? honestly, it doesn’t sound much different than popping popcorn in your kitchen. Even with my good mics, i think i had to boost the low end a little bit in this recording to make it actually sound more like fireworks than popcorn. But judge for yourself. This ambience was recorded on zoom h6 with msh-6 mid-side stereo mic capsule. Recording was edited and decoded. Mic was positioned right in a frame of an open window so that it won't get flood from a heavy rain and pick up much room reflections. My flat where i recorded from was on 4th floor. There was a busy street 50m far from the apartment building itself, a bit further there was a park. Rain at that night was heavy. Also you can hear several heavy thunder hits of various distance throughout the whole recording. Hope this recording will help to enhance the sound of your next project. Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel with lfo routed to certin parts sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. The eerily quiet soundscape of a small midwestern town during the covid-19 shutdown. . . This was recorded in town, on a friday night (april 3rd, 2020) at a time when there is almost always more traffic, people and families walking and talking on the sidewalks. . This recording started at 11pm at night. . . What a strange, weird eerie feeling of this track. You will hear a lot of steady wind gusts, dry leaves being moved around by the strong southerly flow. . Equipment: sony pcm-m10 recorder sitting on a small tripod about 3 inches from the ground. . . I had to really crank up the gain on this one because everything was so quiet---almost as if the neighborhood was holding its breath. . . . Hope you enjoy this unique ambiance.

Doing so may saturate the signal and at least allow you to hear the harmonics of the signal caused by the distortion. I don't recommend it, but you'll at least maybe be able to hear something.

I just recorded this on my phone whilst i was chilling in the conservatory atont the back of my house. . . The heavens literlly opened for a very heavy shower of. . . You will hear the rain on the roof and i move the phone closer and further away from the roof so to get a good soundrange. . I also open the door and let the recording pick up the natural outside showering and rain gushing over the gutters hitting the patio and back step. . I'm trying to create a sound that resembles captain america's shield from the marvel movies. I took a recording of a metal garbage can ringing and brought it into iris 2. I cut the attack from the envelope and added light amplitude sine wave modulation. I also set a short decay. I also layered a clean sine wave underneath the recording sample in order to give the recording more umph and body when it resonates. This is the base of captain america's shield. Layer this with metal impacts and sub sonic stings and you're all set. Please post a link if you use this file. I'm excited to see what you can do with this!. Sounds used to get this explosion, in case you want to replicate it;. -kicked rocks (recorded by me)-throwing rocks from a distance (recorded by me)-edited and stretched beer hiss (recorded by me)-edited chambagne pop sound (recorded by me)-rocket hiss (replica by me). Applied effects;. Mastering (in adobe audition 3), increased "exciter" up to 11. 5%. High-pass filter (in adobe audition 3). Stretch (in adobe audition 3), in "high precision" mode. Reverb (in wavepad sound editor pro). The sound sounds very common, because most people use this method. In case you want to use it, please give me credits.

These are two guitar solo outtakes from a guest guitar session i was asked to be on. They essentially wanted that early era slayer vibe where there is more cacophonous noise than structure. I think i recorded 15-20 for two sections in one song. They chose two other files and this was the one i liked best to keep as a memento. I am the creator and owner of the audio contained within the file. I know guitarists these days want to sound like an andy sneap plugin, but this may give someone a different idea. Within the context of the song they were for they fit well. I'm not apologizing for the playing or quality of the recording. Just something i did for a friend that took me 4x as long to set up than total time under the red light. It was fun.

A stereo recording made at 4:50pm on saturday september 12th 2015 of the ambience of a small town near a playground. Up until this day, the weather here in the midwest had been your typical high-heat high-humidity. But, the day before this field-recording was made the wonderful jet-stream had dropped down on us, a cool, mass of less-humid canadian air, making the leaves sing through the trees with the lifting of the northwest breezes. A gentle tinkling wind-chime can be heard from 1:05 to 1:20. Recording made in stereo with marantz pmd661 and two sennheiser me66 microphones mounted on tripods about 4 feet off the ground.
