Warhammer exterminatus plasma pistol fire sound replacement.

I went for a more realistic gun sound without the hollywood subbass and a lot cleaner than my previous work. Made in ableton live, i just layered an ak47, an m16, an enfield rifle and an acoustic kick drum together with eq and used parallel compression to gel them together. Transient designers were used on the layers to make them snap harder. A bolt slide forward sample and a bolt slide back sample were added to give some mechanical feels to the gunshot. Enjoy.

I sat up my two cm3-microphones at my porch for recording nature-sounds during 3 hours. Then i went into the house for doing other things. When i was finished i listen thru the recording, than i realised there was a couple gunshot at the recording. I'll publishing the best shot. A quick, single shot from a comical or cartoon type laser gun. Created vocally and recorded on a marantz pmd660 with a roland dr-20 dynamic microphone.

Rec by eric strausser_fireworks near launchpad_tascam da-p1_neumann rsm 191. This recording was made in the parking lot of a church. On the other side of a line of trees was the launch pad for the towns fire work show. The mic is angled at the sky. Along with the big round booms and flat smacky booms you can also make out the swish as rockets swirl through the air. In between booms, whistles and fizzles you you can also hear the sound of the debris from the cardboard shells falling around me. Sometimes they were on fire, though you can't hear that quality in the audio. It's good for fireworks and is pretty easy to eq for more of a distant quality. I find it's more fun using it to sweeten weapons. The full recording is 29 minutes.
