This is a recording of my old antique clock. I recorded this using an ipad microphone so it may not be best quality. Near the end of the recording, it strikes 2 o'clock. If you hear some bump or tapping sound, that is because my around moved around and bump the door of the clock.

I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. I heard these owls outside my window this evening. I live next to a large field and it attracts birds of prey frequently. I managed to capture them conversing back and forth. Unfortunately, the neighbors dog had to chime in. But, even that sounds kind of neat with the natural reverb of the open space.

This is my first noise i've ever uploaded, so any tips to improve this or any future sounds are welcome. The original sound came from a subway car screeching to a halt and it was edited with audacity and adobe premiere. Enjoy!.

I accidentally recorded this sequence when i left my camcorder on while filming some drawing tutorials. My warehouse style studio is in the inner city at street level opening onto a street closure/park so you will hear some faint bird tweeting in the background. Near the beginning and end there is the sound of a large industrial sliding door and the loud clanging is a drop bolt on an external metal security grill gate. Wind blown chimes add to the scene. I only applied a very low level audio clean-up using adobe soundbooth cs3 to reduce hiss.

A recording made february 24th, 2019 in a residential section of a small midwestern town. . . The stiff north winds are rattling the remaining dry leaves. . . You will also hear the subtle singing of the birds that always greet you in late winter. . . Birds like house sparrows and starlings. From time to time, you'll hear the tinkly, nice sound of some wind-chimes hanging on the front porch of some house. A high-pitched, metal windchime, sent through some granular processing software. The reel is divided into two, long halves: one with the sound playing forwards and one with it playing in reverse. This means i can easily switch from forward to reverse without tuning issues, simply by applying cv to the morphagene's 'slide' control.

A stereo recording made at 4:50pm on saturday september 12th 2015 of the ambience of a small town near a playground. Up until this day, the weather here in the midwest had been your typical high-heat high-humidity. But, the day before this field-recording was made the wonderful jet-stream had dropped down on us, a cool, mass of less-humid canadian air, making the leaves sing through the trees with the lifting of the northwest breezes. A gentle tinkling wind-chime can be heard from 1:05 to 1:20. Recording made in stereo with marantz pmd661 and two sennheiser me66 microphones mounted on tripods about 4 feet off the ground.

I was on my way to a meeting a few doors down from this intersection and there was some nice sounds happening, it's in the late morning and so people are hard at work and moving around and doing their thing. There's some cool door chimes, trucks, traffic, random conversations, etc.
