So there is not a lot of in-your-face action. Mostly a rolling rumble to represent distant off screen elements, and mid-distant small arms fire.

Recorded using the built-in mics of a zoom h4npro (2016 edition) @ 24bit. This is a small amount of liquid being poured into a drain about the size of a silver dollar. The original recorded captured the apartment's heating system. I used noise reduction, then normalized the waveform. This sound is free to use whenever and wherever.

This sound is of a commercial airliner passing overhead. It was recorded using my zoom h4n stereo field recorder, as i faced east, looking over sun devil stadium in tempe, arizona on top of what they call "a mountain". It was captured around 3:30 in the afternoon, in the spring of 2014, with the airplane due east towards phoenix sky harbor airport, descending on approach.

I just uploaded crap i know. . . But i was just messing with audacity and it crashed, i retrieved the temp file and this came up. Bell tower of the basilica of the national shrine of the immaculate conception. Recorded on the catholic university of america campus with a zoom h2 in four channel surround mode. The front mikes faced the basilica. The rear mikes were fairly close to a building and captured an off axis recording of the original peals while the reflection off the building was on axis and is louder than the original peal. The two files can be combined for a surround image.

Icicles occasionally break off concave cliff face in the sun; cliff reflects sound from behind recorder of people walking by on stanley park seawall, bicyclists, snippets of conversation. It's an unedited recording of me lighting some matches in a quiet room. You can hear the sounds of matchbox's geting open, closed, the match being rubbed against the side of the box, matches catching fire and burning, finnally getting extinguished by waving. This was recorded from my windowsill facing onto a tarmac driveway in august 2012. There is the occasional tinkling sound of raindrops hitting a metal gate, some traffic noise, the occasional bit of thunder, and some shouts of people getting wet. At the end, raindrops start falling onto the recorder. This is fairly heavy rain by oxford standards; we probably get something like this only a couple of times a year. This fall turned into hail a bit later. Recorded with a marantz pmd661.

This was recorded with a trustin portable rechargeable 8gb dictaphone. The recorder was held about 7" away for the louder scrapes and drops and no more than 3" away with the softer scraping sounds. Some normalization was used to drop the peaks. The tiles were in the small hall of an apartment, facing an open door. The hall was approximately 3 feet wide and 8 feet long. This is free to use anywhere you may find useful, and i'd love to hear the results.

Something went wrong on a mechanical device on top of the building that faces my balcony. I don't know what it is exactly (some fan. . . ) but the noise it produces is pretty theatrical. A group of schoolchildren passes some distance away at the beginning, some light construction work is going on in the midrange, and in the far range the busy city noises of london can be heard. The recorder is in the center of the courtyard facing into the complex. Recorded with a zoom h2n and matrixed to 5. 1 surround.

Foley audio of passing cars on a country lane. Cars passed behind the direction the camera was facing. There's a mild stabilisation noise you may hear which could detriment your audio if not removed. Other than this, the sound is eloquent enough. Oin camera mic has been used from a canon 7d with no wind filter. Recorded in burnley, lancashire.

Some noises of the restaurant can be heard in the background, very subdued, the quiet lapping of the east river can be heard in the foreground, and manhattan bustle and traffic on the fdr drive is in the wide range. A twisted sound of screeching metal and various slam sounds. Made from. . . Well you know from my previous uploads. This sample inspired by twisted metal black a car combat game which had a combination of grungy, dirty and suspensful sound designs of which compliment the downtrodden style are some of my styles of foley considering the genre of "industrial" of technology, metal, machinery and transhumanism. Applications could be used in very run down areas as a cue sound, foley/ambiance for when a person is to be trapped and face danger and/or simply a jumpscare.
