This video was taken from a video of an old man philosophizing about what life is, he said (the language he speaks is brazilian portuguese, translation is not good for english). "a irresistível, leve, leveza do ser, sutil tal como uma bolha de sabão que se ve por um momento, no tempo, paira se escorregando para a tentativa de decisão de ir para um dos lados, á sua volta até que "tok" um som inaudível se concebe e apaga, no sumidouro, de nenhuma imagem, que a um segundo atras prometia ser para sempre, a vida é uma bolha de sabão, e dentro de cada bolha, há uma alma".

Oddly enough this man does not consider himself a baritone, and his speaking voice is not so deep. This was not modified except with noise reduction, because the air conditioning was audible. It just happens to be the deepest sound i've ever heard him make, and he wasn't awake. So it wasn't a moan, or a groan, or a gasp. Please tell me what you think it is. I called it an exhale, and yeah, i don't think grizzlies typically go this low.

Recorded on 30th december 2014, this was a demo i sent in to a local radio station as part of an ambitious plan for a career as a newsreader. They didn't take me up on it however.

Recalling the moment i realized the source of a recurring nightmare as a child. Recorded for the sarah belle reid opera project.

A conversation that happened in the kitchen. Warm for the time of year, a man steps in to play basketball on a corner paved lot. Just one basket and no refs, the two free-throws he is offered are almost unheard-of. Maybe some of them didn't like his looks. Likely too they know what he does for a living. Likeliest of all he was playing well, but for sure the woody that won't quit had come to call, and they probably liked that least of all. So he steps up to the foul line and the first shot zips the net. So does the second one, but even before it gets there, someone jumps in behind him, grabs hard and and zips his pants all the way down. They aren't around his ankles, though. Close one, he's standing on them. Worse, a local crowd has gathered. Only the stunned aren't laughing or pointing or cheering. You put your pants back on and go home, what else can you do? game over.
