Here's some ambience i recorded in 2021 when i went to surf side beach, texas for a weekend vacation with family. This was recorded from the decking of the house we were staying in. The beach was probably around 50 yards away from us, give or take a few feet. The ambience was recorded with the sennheiser ambeo smart headset (no longer made) connected to an apple iphone 8 with an app called backpack studio acting as the actual recorder.

A 1khz wave, often used as an effect for a flatline, test pattern, censorship, etc. This one more for effect (such as a movie) than a test tone. This was built with a square waveform for maximum loudness.

A field recording of small waves crashing on a sandy shore. Part of the recording includes the waves splashing against a wooden structure. The waves come a fast, regular intervals; this isn't the slow rolling crash of a barrel wave on the beach. There was a bit of wind (generating the waves) which i've did my best to minimize, but if you don't want wind in the recording you're going to need to edit around it. I climbed down a narrow rock cave to record the eerie sounds of waves and water pouring in and out of the cave. It seems like it's never exactly the same sound. Good for setting ambiance in a cave for your treasure hunting pirate movie or audiobook.
