20 approximate over tones of a 440hz sounded by fading in and out them one by one; they ovelap. At first it resembles overtone singing, but the a, fundamental tone fades out very quickly. May sound annoying.

Audio taken from video filmed with mobile. It’s some kids taking a quick dip in the sea lygnern (near flohult, sweden). The girl says “oooh i have no feet!” when she comes up. Guess it’s her firs dip this year, but it is a coold sea….

Wind can sometimes play havoc with recording --- but, with some luck you can get good wind recordings. Here is a recording of lake waves lapping at the short of a small lake in southern illinois. This particular day, the winds were blowing steady out of the south at 25 miles an hour, with gusts even higher. Recording made with my trusted zoom h4n recorder, using its built-in microphones. Of course a foam wind-screen made this recording listenable. Without the foam wind-screen the recording would simply have been an obnoxious, unintelligable roar!also, since the waves were so loud to begin with, i did not have to crank the recording gain real high -- i had the gain only on 65 for this recording. .

Recorded on zoom h4n. An outside seating area of a london pub on the river thames. Relaxed chatter, seagulls squawking and occasional boats passing by. There is also an occasional metallic bump from two boats that were moored nearby knocking into each-other.

Small regular waves falling on the gravel lakeshore of the bodensee (lake constance), which is the largest lake in germany. This lake is so large that - as you can hear - it has some 'real waves', which sound very relaxing :). Recorded on an iphone 7, aug. 2017.

There is one pretty clear medium sized wave crash at 30 seconds.

This is a completely custom kick i made from scratch using a drum synthesizer and also mixed and edited with a waves puigtech eq modeled after the famous pultec eq and a waves puigchild compressor modeled after the famous $30,000 fairchild compressor. The sample rate is 24 bit/48k and a headroom of -6 or 3db i cant quite remember but nonetheless more than under clipping. Field recording of diamond lake a few hours before a storm hit that forced all boats to dock. This is in late may of 2022. On a hike at the north end of the lake, i stood at the edge of the water and held my recorder close to the growing waves.
