I was looking for the sound of fabric ripping for a video i am working on and couldn't find anything suitable so i created my own. Three different cloth ripping noises. Two are short and one is a little longer. Recorded with my olympus ls-7.

Rummaging through a pocket and pulling out a folded piece of paper. Recorded with at2035.

Me sliding a pair of lock-jaw pliers on some jeans in an attempt to try and get that zipper-like unholstering sound.

Metal object slide.

Soft rain falling with sounds of dripping metal gutter and rain hitting garden fabric.

Lying down, rubbing pillow, sitting up quickly, then dropping back down.

A flapping sound perfect for sails or flags in the wind. Recorded by flapping a rug out of the window. Zoom h4. No processes applied.

Half a minute of short to medium cloth passes to use at a low volume on movement of clothing or bedsheets.

Dancing in a silk dress barefoot on concrete.

Ripping a rag made out of an old t-shirt, recorded with a samson co1u condenser, unfortunately in an echoey room.

Trying to fit a backpack snap with one hand, which is harder than i thought. So this sound consists mainly of rustling the cloth.

Comforter being moved around. Good for cloth passes. Some rustling/flapping of it near the end.

Walking in flats in a satin dress.

Just some general messing around with the fabric of a satin dress.

Made by rag-dolling a pair of jeans.

I created this sound by lightly rubbing a tissue on the microphone. I'm not entirely sure what it could be used for, perhaps as an equip sound effect in a game? anyways. . Hopefully it comes as useful to someone!.
