For a podcast project i needed some coffee related sounds so i recorded our techni-vorm moccamaster, filter coffee machine as it brewed a full pot. Our version has a metallic thermos jug rather than the standard glass jug. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. Drip coffee without sugar recorded with internal zoom h1 mics @ 44. 1k 24 bit. . . Leveled and normalized and dc removed in reaper with various vst's. Rendered @ 44. 1k 16 bit with dither and noise shaping probably not needed. . . Then encoded to flac level 6 with dbpoweramp and uploaded.

This sound was recorded in the upf's bar. It was recorded using a zoom h2 portable recorder, placing the recorder next to a coffee machine when somebody was ordering a coffee. We can hear all the tipical sounds of the machine like entering the coins, dropping water, heating the coffee. . .

Coffee is served from a coffee pot into a cup, then the cup is placed on a saucer. Recorded with a zoom h4n portable recorder. Edited a bit in audacity to raise the level of the coffee pouring sound and lower the level of the saucer impact sound.

These are the noises that accompany waiting in line at sassyass coffee, a local coffee shop in downtown charleston. During the recording you can hear an enjoyable interaction with regular customers toward the end, and general espresso noises and small talk for the rest.
