Upper maxwell falls, evergreen, co, at the top of the falls. Recorded a little before dusk, 2017-07-19. Recorded binaurally using sound professionals ms-tfb-2 binaural microphone headset, 12vdc battery box, sound devices mixpre-6 at 24/192. Postprocessing: digital gain, downsampled to 16/48. Flac: encoded. The rock formations here play appealing tricks with the sound of the running and falling stream. Facing out over falls dropoff, vaguely. A lot of digital gain (+30db?) was applied in postprocessing. The analog preamp was originally set to +21db on the aux-in (ch5/6) input, but this may not have been the optimal gain staging. Sunday afternoon (october 2014) at jardin des plantes in nantes (france). Recorder r05 (inbuilt stereo mic). Sitting on a bench near a small waterfall. Birds start to sing after few seconds. A man, somewhere in the park, is playing a traditional music instrument.

Artificial waterfall sound created using audacity. I created two brownian noise tracks and assigned one to the left channel and one to the right for a stereo effect. Using brownian noise means less high frequency noise that is harsh on the ears.

At the top of the largest waterfall in yellowstone. Hear the river as it tumbles over the edge, plunging to the depths below. The roar of the water feels a bit like static. Recorded on a dslr and edited in audacity to cut out wind and people talking. Production-now. Com - shout-outs welcome.
