I don't really know how to describe it. Maybe an intoxicated human bird having some brain malfunctions.

Slightly shocking short white noise fade in (2 secs) with a little reverb at end. Generated from scratch using audacity (mac version) 16-bit aif version. A simple, atmospheric sudden ending or transition.

Made this by shaking some coins, spinning some coins and taking advantage of a squeaky door on my desk. Processed through paulstretch. The result turned out pretty interesting so i figured i would upload it here.

A very low-pitch xylophone from the lmms daw, with reverb, initially i was attempting to emulate footsteps, but it turned out to be somewhat sinister and eerie instead.

This is what background noise sounds like when you, first set your recording to automatically reduce noise, except to get this sound, put mic on sensitive, then increase the volume. Voila! computer noise!.

A kind of breathing machine, or living sci-fi machine. Originally made for the ambience sound inside a deep space station. Synthesized with vcv rack.

This just sounds like an elephant or something else trumpeting over and over.

Random weird sounds samples.

This is a recording of myself sleeping, beginning ~ 1:00 am local time (~ 3hrs after going to bed) on january 10th, 2020 (which i later discovered was a full moon). I was in the midst of experimenting with recording myself all night long out of curiosity, using a laptop placed near the head of my bed. This particular recording was the only anomalous one (the rest consisting mostly of just breathing or snoring with occasional sleep-talking). This ~2 hour recording has several interesting properties, which make it hard for me to believe that these sounds were actually going on while i was sleeping. On the other hand, i don't have a memory of editing this file if i did. Either way, i find it unsettling. I found the file in oct 2021 while organizing my samples. As far as i can remember, this is the original raw recording. On further inspection, i discovered that it has some additional peculiar properties that make it even harder to believe i could have made it without remembering doing so. The audio spans almost exactly 118min (7080s). There’s a frequency sweep with a cycle-length of 6480ms that repeats throughout the entire recording. Dividing the 118min by 6. 48min (60 cycles) results in 18 parts containing exactly 60 cycles and a remainder of 12 cycles. I made disgusting noises with my mouth to sound like a monster and did some pitch lowering and what not. Grrroooahhhhsuuguhhhh aaaaaaauhhh ggghhuuhaaa *monster for "use the sound file for whatever you want".
