This is a sound recorded with a handcrafted electromagnetic microphone (that is why is in mono format). The machine recorded is used for signal processing tasks at cbc (upf) for their experiments on brain cognition. As researchers of the center for brain and cognition, we work to advance our understanding of how experience influences the emergence of structure and function through computational and experimental investigation. We are also interested in understanding how mechanisms regulating brain development interact with the effects of experience to produce the structural and functional characteristics of the brain. These lines of research clarify how specific biological mechanisms routinely support the emergence of cognitive functions, leading to insights into why experience is so important for normal brain development. At cmu, there is a building with a really long hallway that has amazing acoustics. In this experiment, i set up a feedback loop. On one end of the hallway, there is a microphone connected to a laptop. On the other end, there is a speaker connected to another laptop. The two laptops are connected via skype calling. I play with my speaker's built in eq, and play my violin to stimulate the resonant frequencies of the hall. A better set up would be to use better equipment directly connected to each other, and have a stand-alone eq to independently control what resonant frequencies are playing.

This is the first of two recordings documenting the transatlantic shortwave radio transmissions by w1zy on february 12, 2019 in performance of the "extremely low elevation angle" experiment, detailed in w1zy's blog here: http://www. Qrz. Com/db/w1zy. It is being posted in 2021 upon initiation of the full archiving of all audio files generated during the saltwater vertical operation from succotash salt marsh in matunuck, r. I.

It’s a mix the 80s gated reverb and the fisher k10 stereo (gated), this is an experiment that i did combining a thicker reverb with low frequency, with an impulse response from a 60s spring reverb unit, which brings a movement nice in the mix.

Experimento de bregman y rudnicky (1975). A) tonos estándar x y y condiferentes alturas.
