I've been working on a plugin for unity to allow users to create short loops from arrangements of other loops. Seems to be working pretty well, pretty much like a low-tech version of acid. Anyways, this was a little arrangement i made as a test, and i kinda like it so i thought i'd post it here for feedback and such. I sold my giant couch, and two professional movers came to pick it up. Before they moved it, they whipped out a huge roll of clear plastic, and expertly passed it around and around the sofa until the whole thing was wrapped. The noise the wrapping made was astonishingly loud and echoey in our place, and sounded very. . . Uh. . . Science fiction-y. An artistic experiment searching for sound emissions and the limit of human hearing. Composed of infrasonic material that have a low acoustic impedance. Humans will be able to identify tones as low as 12hz. Natural and human produced infrasonic sounds is anywhere, all the time. The artistic idea was to use background noises, signal fidelity, harmonic distortion, low-frequency in order to foster a soundscape of infrasound that travels through space. An long escalator i recorded in atlanta. The escalator was very noisy, and produced a kind of whining electrical sound that sounded almost spiritual. That was originally a boring industrial water heating system furnace. So i fooled around with audio effects to give that result that sounds like one of those old low budget science fiction movies or even some cartoons. It can be used in many type of stuff, it's up to your imagination.

Made from taking two large atx (the form factor, the chassis) computer panels (that i havent used in quite some time), rubbing the entirety of them together quite brashly (one is on the ground), keeping the recorder on xy setup in my other hand in unison then dropping them onto each other. Inside of reaper, i begin changing the rate and pitching them down and applied saturation, distortion and reverberation gave them a very clean effect of a decrepit gate shutting down. Good for trapping your enemies in a battle to the death for which the title is inspired from; one of those tension moments a person in a film/game finds themselves in.
